IOM: 13 Million Displaced Due to Sudan’s War

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported that the conflict in Sudan, which has been ongoing for over 500 days since mid-April of last year, has displaced over 13 million people. Of these, 10.7 million are internally displaced, while 2.3 million have fled to neighboring countries.
The IOM noted that more than half of the internally displaced are children under the age of 18, with a significant portion fleeing the capital, Khartoum. Most of those who crossed borders headed toward Chad.
