Minister of Agriculture pledges to resolve obstacles for the winter season in Abu Hamed

Federal Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Abu Bakr Omar Al-Bushra, concluded a successful visit to Abu Hamed locality on Saturday, accompanied by Salah Ali Mohammed Ahmed, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Forestry in River Nile State, and Salah Al-Mamoun, Head of the Agriculture Department in the state.
They were received by Abdul-Raouf Hassan Al-Mubarak, Executive Director of Abu Hamed Locality.
The minister reviewed the agricultural situation in the locality.
He confirmed his ministry’s support for agriculture in the locality and its commitment to resolving all obstacles to entering the winter season.
He stated that the Dal Agricultural Project is one of the most successful agricultural partnerships and represents a pioneering experience in using technology in agriculture.
For his part, the acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Forestry in the state, Salah Ali, said they place great importance on Abu Hamed locality for the upcoming season due to its favorable climate, soil, and hardworking farmers capable of bridging the food gap for Sudan as a whole.
He announced serious steps to assess the damages caused by floods and rains in the agricultural sector, calling for the formation of agricultural associations for food security farmers to facilitate the financing process.
