Egypt Thrashes Botswana 4-0 in Salah’s Night of Brilliance

Egypt’s national team thrashed Botswana 4-0 on Tuesday in the second round of Group C matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Morocco.
According to the German News Agency, Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s top scorer, had a remarkable night. He joined the “100 Club” with Egypt, scoring his 58th international goal and becoming the country’s all-time leading scorer in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with 19 goals.
The first half ended with Egypt leading 2-0, courtesy of Mahmoud Trezeguet, who recently joined Qatar’s Al-Rayyan, scoring in the 5th and 29th minutes. Salah added a third goal in the 56th minute, before Mostafa Fathi completed the rout in the final seconds.
Egypt claimed their second consecutive victory, moving to 6 points at the top of the standings, while Botswana remains bottom with no points.
