Ports: Ministry of Finance Plays Key Role in Supporting Authority’s Projects

The Deputy Director-General of the Sudanese Sea Ports Authority for Operations Affairs, Saad Abdelnabi Saeed, highlighted the significant role the Ministry of Finance plays in supporting the Authority’s projects.

He revealed full coordination between the ministry and the authority concerning the implementation of the development plan laid out by the authority’s top management since 2019.

Speaking at a press conference following the inauguration of new handling equipment at the Coral Hotel on Tuesday, Saeed said that the new equipment contributes to enhancing productivity at Sudanese ports. He noted that it reduces wasted time and boosts forward progress. He confirmed that the authority’s development cannot be achieved without new handling means, which has been a major challenge for the authority. He also revealed that 60% of the cost of this equipment was paid during the tenure of the current director-general from the authority’s resources.
