Commissioner of Investment, Industry, and Tourism in Kassala State, Abdulmunim Idris Mohammed, affirmed the commission’s interest in encouraging and attracting capital and investors to establish investment and industrial projects, in addition to promoting the commission’s strategy aimed at localizing industries and achieving developmental progress in the state.
The Commissioner, accompanied by a representative from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, visited several factories in the popular market and Reba industrial zone in Kassala locality on Thursday.
Abdulmunim indicated that the visit aimed to inspect a number of old and new factories under construction to assess the scale of work and the challenges facing factory operations, including weak electricity supply, water provision, product protection, and the reduction of local levies.
He stressed the commission’s commitment to overcoming obstacles by coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the prosperity of industries in the state.
The commissioner highlighted the state’s capabilities in various fields, confirming the commission’s readiness to provide all facilities to enable investors to set up their ventures.
Factory owners expressed their readiness to enhance the national industry, create job opportunities, and emphasized the importance of improving infrastructure, especially electricity and water, as well as protecting products and reducing costs to compete in the market.
