Sudan Events – Monitoring
The US Special Envoy for Sudan, Tom Perriello, engaged in meetings with the Democratic Bloc, the National Movement, the Founding Return Platform, Sufi leaders, and tribal leaders in Cairo.
In a tweet, Perriello said he met with a group of young Sudanese civil society members and women in Cairo.
He added that he listened to their clear demands for increased pressure to end the war in Sudan, noting that the Sudanese people consistently call for peace, food security, and safety.
Perriello is expected to depart for Ankara on Friday to discuss the Sudan peace process.
