The Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in the Northern State has completed its preparations for the first agricultural advisory seminar organized by “Tarkabia” Services and Events Company in collaboration with the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources, under the patronage of the ministry’s Director-General, Engineer Osman Ahmed Osman. The seminar will be held on Sunday and Monday at the Legislative Council Hall in Dongola.
The organizing committee, chaired by Hanadi Qism Al-Sayed, held a meeting on Saturday with several leaders of “Tarkabia” Company to ensure the final arrangements for the seminar’s launch on Sunday.
Committee rapporteur Haitham Abdel Jalil stated, according to the Sudanese News Agency, that the seminar targets agricultural directors in localities and administrative units, as well as governmental and investment agricultural projects, boards of directors, and farmers. He noted that the seminar is part of the Northern State’s early preparations for the upcoming winter agricultural season.
He added that the seminar is an excellent opportunity to discuss all challenges and issues and find suitable solutions before the start of the winter planting season. Several scientific papers will be presented during the seminar, including papers on the challenges of agricultural economics under the current circumstances, pesticides, the economic importance of palm trees, and solar energy.
