Linda Thomas, the United States’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations, called on the Rapid Support Forces militia to halt its attack on the city of Al-Fasher.
Thomas expressed deep concern over the militia’s bombardment and siege of the city.
She stated, “I urge the Rapid Support Forces to cease their attack, including the shelling that is destroying infrastructure and endangering civilians, and to meet its obligations to the international community by protecting civilians.”
