Workshop on the Reconstruction of Khartoum to be Held on Tuesday

A workshop on the reconstruction of Khartoum State will be held in Port Sudan on Tuesday. The workshop is sponsored by the Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Othman Hamza, stated that the workshop was prepared following a decision to upgrade the Khartoum Call for Aid to a comprehensive reconstruction and recovery program. A coordinator for the program has been appointed, who, along with a team of specialists, conducted an initial assessment of the facilities damaged by the war.
The governor extended invitations to ministers, directors of relevant agencies, experts, companies, and businesspeople to participate in the workshop.
The coordinator of the reconstruction program, Saif Al-Din Mukhtar, explained that the workshop will discuss reconstruction challenges, a strategic vision for rebuilding, and Khartoum State’s reconstruction and recovery plan.
