A delegation of Russian businessmen, led by the Chairman of the Sudanese-Russian Trade Council, Victor Shmardanov, arrived in Sudan.
The delegation was welcomed by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sudan, Andrey Chernovol, along with several businessmen and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce.
Sudanese businessman, Al-Sadiq Gism Al-Sayed, stated that the Russian delegation’s visit aims to contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries, emphasizing that Sudan can benefit from Russian technology in various fields to boost the economy.
For his part, the Chairman of the Sudanese-Russian Trade Council explained that the visit comes as part of the efforts of the Sudanese-Russian Ministerial Committee to enhance relations between the two countries in the fields of trade, industry, and investment. He noted that the delegation brought several programs that will be discussed and explored for implementation with the Sudanese side.
He added that the delegation would meet with ministers of mining, energy, investment, agriculture, industry, as well as representatives of chambers of commerce and businessmen. He expressed hope that the visit would yield positive results benefiting both countries.
Representatives of the business community and the Chamber of Commerce welcomed the Russian delegation, expressing their hope that the visit would contribute to enhancing commercial relations between Sudan and Russia to levels that would benefit both countries. They affirmed their commitment to supporting the efforts of both countries’ leaderships to create a conducive environment for Russian investments in Sudan and to further develop relations in the fields of industry, trade, and infrastructure.
