Red Crescent and UNFPA Distribute Health Supplies to Hospitals in Northern State

The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Northern State, Dr. Sati Hassan Sati, alongside the Director of the Sudanese Red Crescent in Northern State, Dr. Abdel Rahman Hamid, and the Acting Director of Primary Health Care, Howaida Abdel Azim, witnessed the distribution of reproductive health supplies to the hospitals of Dongola, Halfa, Karima, Abri, Al-Burqayq, Argo, and Al-Daba. These supplies were provided by the Red Crescent in the state in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The Director General of Health in the Northern State said, according to the Sudanese News Agency, that health sector partners have consistently provided significant support to health institutions and facilities. He noted that reproductive health supplies are a crucial step in supporting hospitals, and emphasized that the Red Crescent and the UNFPA will remain key partners in health. He also pointed out that the health sector will witness unprecedented growth, relying on support from partners, organizations, and residents of the state, both locally and abroad.
In turn, the Director of the Sudanese Red Crescent in Northern State confirmed their continued support for the Ministry of Health and the state’s health facilities, emphasizing that the Red Crescent will remain the main supporter of health and its various sectors. He explained that the UNFPA has numerous programs and projects planned for the near future, along with support from various organizations and activities.
