On Thursday, Lieutenant General Yasir Al-Atta, a member of the Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander of the Army, stated that the Sudanese military and civilian leadership, along with the people, reject any negotiations with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), affirming their growing capabilities to defeat them.
Speaking to a crowd of soldiers from special support groups, Al-Atta said, “We hear about negotiations here and there, but the military and civilian leadership, along with the Sudanese people, demand the fulfillment of the motto ‘Just Force’.”
He added, “We now have growing capabilities that allow us to implement this glorious motto.”
Al-Atta stressed that the military and civilian leadership remains united and works earnestly to defeat the rebellion.
He also revealed that the army has prepared forces in Omdurman, Nile River, Northern State, Al-Gedaref, White Nile, Blue Nile, West Darfur, and North Darfur, adding, “We have made great strides, and with these forces, we can decisively win the battle.”
