Cash Support Program Launched for Disabled IDPs in the Red Sea

The Federal Ministry of Social Development, the Social Security and Poverty Alleviation Commission, and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, in coordination with the Social Development Sector of the Red Sea State and the State Council for Persons with Disabilities, in cooperation with the Savings and Social Development Bank, have launched a strategic cash support program for disabled internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Red Sea State, benefiting 220 families with a total cost of 11 million pounds.
Minister of Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, praised the close coordination with all concerned parties, stressing its importance in social work. He assured families not yet included in the program that they will be considered for the next phase of support after a full census is conducted.
