Expired Food Items Destroyed in Halfa

The Food Inspection Committee in Wadi Halfa carried out the destruction of 68 bottles of soft drinks, amounting to nearly 950 liters, along with 110 expired pickle containers.

The destruction took place at the main landfill outside Halfa city, in the presence of committee members, including the head of the supply investigation department, First Lieutenant Mortada Rashwan, and a representative from the health department of Halfa’s administrative unit, Lamia Ahmed Hassan.

Deputy Director of Halfa’s administrative unit, Hisham Mohamed Mahmoud, warned traders against selling expired goods to avoid violating laws and regulations. He urged citizens to cooperate with the committee by promptly reporting expired items in sales areas to ensure the health of the local population.
