Inflation Rate Rises to 218%

The Central Bureau of Statistics announced on Thursday that the inflation rate for August increased to 218.18% compared to 193.94% recorded in July 2024.
In a statement, the Central Bureau of Statistics said, “The annual inflation rate for August rose by 218.18% compared to the same period last year.”
The statement pointed out that the urban inflation rate for August was 189.38%, while it increased in rural areas to 237.70% compared to the previous year.
