“Mineral Resources” Discusses Increasing Gold Production in Kassala

The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company office in Kassala State discussed with the state governor the overall situation regarding mining activities and ways to increase production and maximize public revenues.
Kassala Governor, retired Major General Al-Sadiq Mohamed Al-Azraq, stressed his commitment to overcoming obstacles facing mining activities in order to boost production and provide services to communities hosting these industries.
On his part, Hamza Mohamed Othman, director of the Mineral Resources Company office in Kassala, revealed directives for tighter monitoring of the state’s crossings to reduce smuggling and strengthen control over the produced gold.
Hamza highlighted that the meeting discussed the importance of holding a Mining Coordination Council session and presenting a comprehensive vision for developing mining activities in the state. He also announced preparations for a workshop in collaboration with the General Authority for Geological Research to explore investment opportunities in the mining sector in the state, praising the strong coordination with the state government, local executive bodies, security forces, and the local community.
