The National Chamber of Exporters submitted an urgent memorandum to Sovereignty Council Chairman, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, through the Head of the Economic Sector, General Yasser Al-Atta, outlining the impact of the Central Bank’s recent decisions on the private sector and the losses suffered due to the war.
The memorandum exposed the damage to exporters due to the Central Bank’s ban on 157 companies and business names, a comprehensive banking ban (on all transactions), which they considered punitive. They argued that the Central Bank is not the appropriate body to issue such punitive measures according to regulations and laws.
