The markets in Al-Jabalain city, located in the White Nile State, are witnessing insane price hikes in consumer goods and foodstuffs. The price of a bag of sugar has reached 290,000 pounds, a bag of flour costs 83,000 pounds, and a bag of lentils is priced at 96,000 pounds. Meanwhile, a bag of rice costs 84,000 pounds, a 36-pound jerry can of oil costs 93,000 pounds, and a large bag of onions is priced between 200,000 to 230,000 pounds. Additionally, the price of a pound of tea has risen to 6,000 pounds, and coffee costs 10,000 pounds. The city has also been experiencing a complete blackout for three days, with no explanations or announcements from the relevant electricity authorities.
