General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the President of the Sovereign Council and Commander of the Sudanese Armed Forces, stated that the path to ending the war in Sudan is clear, which involves stopping the fighting and disarming the RSF. Speaking before the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, Burhan asserted that the Sudanese people’s will would prevail in the face of what he described as a war launched by the RSF with international support. He called on the international community to classify the RSF as a terrorist group and affirmed the army’s commitment to the democratic transition in Sudan.
