Sudan Participates in Moscow Energy Week and Discusses Cooperation with Russian Companies

Abdullah Ahmed Mohamed Ali, Director General of Sudanese Electricity Holding Company, affirmed during his participation in the “Energy Week” forum in Moscow last week that Sudan’s participation aims to explore cooperation with Russian companies in building electricity projects and rebuilding infrastructure damaged by the war.
In an interview with *Sputnik*, he explained that the electricity sector, like other sectors, has been impacted by the ongoing war, with some thermal and hydro power plants directly and indirectly affected, in addition to 800 km of power transmission and distribution lines going out of service.
