Army Clears Its Forces of Alleged Executions of Activists in Khartoum

Sudan Events – Agencies

Sudanese Army spokesperson, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, denied on Wednesday that elements of the army were involved in the physical elimination of dozens of activists working in voluntary sectors in Khartoum North, accused of collaborating with the Rapid Support Forces militia. According to “Sudan Tribune,” Abdullah stated, “The claims that the army is involved in eliminating humanitarian volunteers in North Khartoum are mere lies and fabrications perpetuated by the militia and their political allies.” He also accused the Democratic Civil Forces Coalition “Progress” of spearheading a campaign targeting the Sudanese army, adopting the lies of the rebel militia, and ignoring the atrocities committed by their allies in the Daqlo terrorist militia, while promoting falsehoods about the armed forces.
