Efforts to Prevent Conflicts Between Farmers and Herders in Gedaref

The acting governor of Gedaref, Dr. Ahmed Al-Amin Adam, discussed on Wednesday with the committee representing the farmers of the state, led by Deputy Chairman Ahmed Abdelrahim Al-Awad and in the presence of several state government officials, ways to provide inputs for the harvest of the crops planted this season.

This discussion came especially after the start of sesame harvesting in the southern region, focusing on agricultural labor, pest control, road opening, facilitating the movement of farmers’ machinery, securing the season, and preventing conflicts between farmers and herders. They also reviewed the preparations for the upcoming visit of the Federal Minister of Agriculture to Gedaref on the 4th of this month.
