El-Sisi and Bin Zayed Attend Graduation Ceremony for New Military Cadets in Egypt

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday, who began an official visit to Egypt. During the visit, they attended a graduation ceremony for new cadets at the Egyptian Military Academy at the Strategic Command in the New Administrative Capital (east of Cairo).

During a brief stop at the VIP lounge of Cairo Airport, President El-Sisi welcomed Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and his accompanying delegation, emphasizing the deep brotherly ties between the two nations and the significance of this visit in strengthening those relations and opening new avenues for joint cooperation.

President El-Sisi accompanied Sheikh Bin Zayed to the new premises of the War College in the New Administrative Capital, where they both witnessed the inauguration of the new military academy campus, coinciding with the graduation of the new cadets.

Bin Zayed’s visit to Egypt comes at a time of regional tensions due to the Israeli war in Lebanon and Gaza. This marks the second summit between the two leaders in about two months, following their meeting in Egypt’s New Alamein City in early August, and a prior meeting in Cairo last March.
