Israeli Airstrike in Aitaroun, Lebanon Kills 6 Civilians

An Israeli airstrike on Wednesday hit the southern Lebanese town of Aitaroun, killing six of its residents, including members of the “Islamic Health Authority” medical team, with one person still missing under the rubble, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency. The strike targeted the Islamic Health Authority’s center in the town, destroying it completely, followed by a second strike on the same organization’s clinic. The agency added, “While rescue teams were conducting relief operations, they were targeted by a hostile drone strike.” The search continues for the remaining person trapped under the rubble. Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced that it had detonated an explosive device targeting Israeli forces near the border town of Yaroun as part of ongoing clashes in the area, with Israeli attempts to infiltrate Lebanese territory.
