Egypt’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Mohamed Gad, emphasized Egypt’s strong commitment to supporting Sudan during this critical period.
In statements to “Al-Shorouk,” Gad categorically rejected any proposal to send African troops to Sudan.
Regarding Sudan’s reinstatement into the African Peace and Security Council, Gad said that this step requires progress in fulfilling the conditions that led to the suspension, such as a ceasefire, initiating transitional steps, and starting the political process.
