Fluctuating Sheep Prices in Al-Jabalain
Sudan Events – Reports
Sheep traders and livestock owners in the Al-Jabalain area revealed fluctuations in sheep prices, with some rising and others falling.
At the Al-Jabalain livestock market, prices vary based on sheep types, ranging from 50,000 Sudanese pounds for smaller sheep to 75,000 pounds. Medium-sized sheep are priced between 100,000 and 150,000 pounds, while larger sheep range from 200,000 to 250,000 pounds.
Livestock traders stated that prices depend on the volume of supply and purchasing power. They also noted that the closure of national roads has impacted exports and contributed to lowering local prices. The livestock supply comes from villages such as Juda, Um Al-Qura, Taro, Al-Naeem, Um Jalala, Wad Al-Bala’a, and Ashrak.
