43 Kilograms of Smuggled Gold Seized

The anti-smuggling unit of Sudan’s customs forces in River Nile State seized 43 kilograms of smuggled gold intended for export. Acting Director-General of the Customs Forces, Major General Salah Ahmed Ibrahim, praised the significant efforts of the anti-smuggling forces, emphasizing the importance of their role in controlling smuggling operations, especially given River Nile’s strategic location. Acting Assistant Director-General for Anti-Smuggling, Major General Yasser Sadiq, reaffirmed their continuous efforts to prevent the smuggling of national resources, which undermines the national economy.
Brigadier General Adam Omar Sabil, Director of the Anti-Smuggling Unit in River Nile, said in a statement that the operation succeeded after gathering and monitoring intelligence, leading to a planned interception. He emphasized that his forces are fully prepared to block all smuggling routes.
