Northern State: Winter Season Production Plan Approved

The Higher Committee for the Winter Season in Northern State approved the 2024 winter production plan in a meeting chaired by retired Major General Kamal Mousa, advisor to the state’s governor. Director-General of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources, Othman Ahmed Othman, stated that the state aims to cultivate over 500,000 acres, with more than 200,000 acres dedicated to wheat.
Specialized subcommittees were formed, including ones for financing, energy, and media. Othman highlighted the exceptional nature of this season due to the country’s circumstances and emphasized the state’s determination to ensure food security for Northern State and Sudan as a whole.
