On Saturday, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, met with the acting governor of Kassala state, retired Major General Al-Sadiq Mohamed Al-Azraq.
The governor stated in a press release that he briefed the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council on the overall security, service, and health conditions in Kassala state and efforts to meet the essential needs of citizens and shelter the displaced due to the rebellion of the terrorist militias.
Al-Azraq added that the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council expressed great support for all the challenges facing the state and promised to provide essential needs to the citizens.
The governor reiterated his government’s commitment to enhancing security and stability in the state and finding solutions to local issues to achieve the desired development and address the displacement crisis.
