Erling Haaland Competes with Palmer and Diaz for Premier League Player of the Month

Norwegian international and Manchester City star, Erling Haaland, is a strong contender for the Premier League Player of the Month award for September, as announced by the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) in England.
Haaland is competing against Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, as well as Arsenal duo David Raya and Gabriel for the prestigious award.
The 24-year-old striker had an impressive run with City last month, scoring three goals in three Premier League matches. Notably, Haaland netted twice in City’s 2-1 win over Brentford and opened the scoring during the 2-2 draw with Arsenal. His goal in the ninth minute of that game marked his 100th goal for Manchester City.
According to Manchester City’s official website, Haaland has become one of just 19 players to reach this milestone for the club, achieving it in only 105 games.
Haaland currently leads the Premier League scoring chart this season with 10 goals, four ahead of second-place Palmer.
The winner of the Player of the Month award will be announced next Tuesday.
