Government Imposes Restrictions on Communications with Foreign Missions

On Monday, Minister of Information and government spokesperson Graham Abdel Qader announced restrictions on communications between military personnel, state employees, and tribal leaders with foreign missions.
In a press statement, Abdel Qader explained that the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, who is also acting as Prime Minister, directed that no communication with embassies and foreign missions is permitted except through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or authorized delegates for this year.
He clarified that this directive applies to the system’s personnel, employees, former officials in government institutions, and tribal leaders to ensure that formal procedures are followed.
The Ministry of Federal Governance will organize communications between tribal leaders and foreign missions in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
