Militia Elements Depart East Nile

Sudan Events – Agencies
The departure of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia members from the East Nile area in Khartoum State has intensified, coinciding with the army’s first ground operation to regain control over the state’s cities. Reports suggest both the army and the RSF are mobilizing forces in Khartoum North, preparing for a possible battle in the area.
Eyewitnesses told “Sudan Tribune” that RSF presence in the streets, markets, restaurants, and cafes in East Nile, which includes Kafouri, Hilla Kuku, and the Al-Haj Yousif neighborhood, has significantly diminished. They also noted an increase in airstrikes by the army’s air force on RSF positions in the area.
An eyewitness in East Nile observed vehicles being loaded and families of fighters leaving the area. Over the past weeks, the RSF’s military police have conducted intense campaigns to transport fighters, possibly attempting to force them to fight on other fronts. According to “Sudan Tribune,” many RSF fighters have hidden to avoid military police campaigns in the past.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses in Khartoum North reported a large-scale RSF mobilization in the Al-Mazad neighborhood. The RSF also ordered residents of the old neighborhoods of Khartoum North, such as Hilla Hamad, Hilla Khogali, and Al-Danaqla, to leave and have set up their artillery there.
