Over 400,000 People Crossed from Lebanon to Syria in Two Weeks

The Lebanese government’s Disaster Risk Management Unit announced on Monday that more than 400,000 people, mostly Syrians, crossed from Lebanon to Syria within two weeks, following intensified Israeli airstrikes on various parts of Lebanon. The report stated, “From September 23 to October 5, 2024, General Security recorded the crossing of 300,774 Syrian nationals and 102,283 Lebanese nationals into Syrian territory.”
