Dukhairi Confirms Agricultural Integration Among Arab Countries

The Director of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, Professor Ibrahim Al-Dukhairi, emphasized that the organization is focused on developmental activities, preserving natural resources, and combating desertification. He noted that the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development aims to strengthen the bonds between Arab countries and coordinate cooperation in various agricultural fields, especially in developing natural and human resources in agriculture and rural development sectors. The goal is to improve the methods and means of their scientific utilization, raise agricultural productivity for both plant and animal sectors, and achieve the desired agricultural integration for Arab food security.
He revealed, during his participation in Marsa Matrouh Governorate’s celebration of the sixth session of the summer school for university students on unconventional water sources, the Arab Strategy for Sustainable Rangeland Management 2020-2040, which was prepared by the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development and adopted by Arab countries.
He also stressed the importance of capacity building and the exchange of experiences, noting that the parties involved agreed to develop an action plan for the coming phase, focusing on expected areas of cooperation and supporting local communities, as well as initiatives related to food security and sustainable agricultural development.
