Military sources said on Saturday that the army had made progress in central and southern Khartoum, coinciding with the opening of a location near the Signal Corps in Khartoum Bahri.
Sources told “Sudan Tribune” that fierce clashes occurred between the army and the RSF militia in the Mugran area in central Khartoum. The army advanced in Mugran to the Friendship Hall and Corinthia Hotel, with artillery shelling and air cover from warplanes continuing.
Armored units managed to deploy and take control of large parts of the Al-Lamab, Al-Rumaila, and Al-Hamadab neighborhoods in southern Khartoum, where heavy fighting broke out.
The military also targeted militia positions at the Sports City in southern Khartoum.
The Signal Corps took control of Abboud Gardens and Bahri Government School at the start of Al-Inqaz Street in Khartoum Bahri, while the Ammunition Corps advanced in the Kadro area from the north.
Further progress was reported in the western areas of Harat, Omdurman, Fatah, and southern Shigla in Omdurman.
