Foreign Currency Rates Rise Again

After a sudden drop in foreign exchange rates against the Sudanese pound in the black market last week, prices have surged again. Foreign currency traders told (Al-Ahdath) that currency prices have been fluctuating unusually. On (Saturday), the purchase price of the dollar rose again in the black market to 2,600 pounds, while the selling price reached 2,800 pounds. The Saudi riyal was bought for 693.33 pounds and sold for 746.66 pounds, while the Emirati dirham was bought for 708.44 pounds and sold for 762.94 pounds. The euro was bought for 2,857.14 pounds and sold for 3,131.86 pounds, and the British pound was bought for 3,376.62 pounds and sold for 3,636.36 pounds. The Egyptian pound rose to 53 pounds, while the Bahraini dinar was bought for 6,842.10 pounds and sold for 7,368.42 pounds. The Qatari riyal was bought for 714.28 pounds and sold for 769.23 pounds. The Omani riyal was bought for 6,842.10 pounds and sold for 7,368.42 pounds, while the Kuwaiti dinar was bought for 8,387.09 pounds and sold for 9,032.25 pounds.
Meanwhile, foreign currency prices have remained stable in Sudanese banks. Omdurman National Bank recorded the highest dollar purchase price at 1,990 pounds, while the selling price reached 2,004.92 pounds. Faisal Islamic Bank bought the dollar at 1,985 pounds, with a selling price of 1,999.8875 pounds, and Bank of Khartoum maintained its buying price at 1,982 pounds, while the selling price was 1,996.87 pounds.
