Sudanese Sovereignty Council member, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, said that the RSF supply lines are now under the control of the armed forces, which are successfully advancing in Khartoum, Darfur, and Sennar, while the RSF retreats on all fronts after realizing their loss.
In an exclusive statement to “Al Jazeera Net,” Jaber downplayed the ability of RSF leader, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), to spread the conflict to new areas.
Jaber, who is also the assistant commander of the armed forces, added that military operations are going well, indicating that “our forces in southern Bahri, which have reached Al-Tahreer Stadium, will soon unite with our forces coming from Karari and Kaddro,” noting victories in North and West Darfur.
He explained that the upcoming changes will include reclaiming areas that “the rebels did not expect to return to state control,” and that there will be internal and external developments that will “shake the foundations of the rebels.”
Jaber described the statements made by the RSF leader as signs of delusion, dismissing Hemedti’s claim of preparing a million soldiers as mere propaganda with no basis in reality.
He emphasized that the army and all security forces are fully aware of the “rebels’ plans and will not allow them to escalate in safe areas,” asking, “How can he spread the conflict to new regions when his forces and supply lines are within the army’s grasp?”
Jaber added, “We are fully aware of the rebellion’s reality, as not even a thousand people in Sudan, particularly in Darfur, respect or support the rebellion, let alone fight for it. Recruiting mercenaries from neighboring countries has also become impossible, due to increasing awareness among the people and their leaders about the dangers of rebellion to their future and unity.”
He concluded by saying that the RSF “can no longer understand the changes on the ground, as after their moral defeat, they are now experiencing a military defeat.”
