Foreign Exchange Rates Remain High

Foreign exchange rates remained high in the parallel market. Currency dealers reported that the buying price of the dollar on Friday ranged between 2,650 and 2,850 Sudanese pounds. The Saudi riyal ranged between 706.66 and 760 pounds, while the Egyptian pound ranged between 54.63 and 58.76 pounds. The buying price for the Emirati dirham was 722.07 pounds, with a selling price of 776.56 pounds. The euro’s buying price was 2,912.08 pounds, with a selling price of 3,131.86 pounds. The British pound remained stable at 3,441.55 pounds for buying and 3,701.29 pounds for selling. The Qatari riyal’s buying price was steady at 728.02 pounds, with a selling price of 782.96 pounds.
This stability also extended to foreign exchange rates in Sudanese banks. The buying price of the dollar at the National Bank of Omdurman remained at 1,990 pounds, while the selling price was 2,004.92 pounds. The buying price of the dollar at Faisal Islamic Bank was 1,985 pounds, with a selling price of 1,999.8875 pounds. The buying price at Bank of Khartoum remained at 1,982.00 pounds, with the selling price at 1,996.87 pounds.
