RSF members called on their leader, Hemedti, to inform them of what is happening in Al-Jazeera, urging their comrades to “lay down their arms and withdraw from Al-Jazeera state immediately.”
The soldiers appeared on Sunday alongside their commander in a video directed at their militia leader, asking about the situation so they could decide their fate following the surrender of Kekal to the army in Al-Jazeera.
They revealed in their message that they had information about Abu Shotal in Blue Nile and Qajjah in Managil also planning to surrender.
They claimed that Kekal abandoned their sons in Al-Jazeera state after selling them out to the army and their supporters.
One RSF member threatened, saying, “If they betray us, we will withdraw our men from Al-Jazeera and fight in Khartoum to the death.”
