Minni Arko Minawi, the head of the Sudan Liberation Movement, stated that the surrender of field commander Abu Aqila Kekal of the Rapid Support Forces has significant implications for the ongoing war in the country.
According to the investigative news site “Al-Mohaqiq,” Minawi said that Kekal’s surrender to the armed forces signifies the countdown to the end of the war.
Regarding accusations against the joint forces for being paid for their participation in the war and wanting further division of power to avoid returning to neutrality, Minawi dismissed these accusations as “nonsense and stupidity.” He challenged those making these claims to name the country that paid them, denying that the joint forces received any money from any entity. He added, “Even if we did receive money from the Sudanese army, it is not considered betrayal or a crime. The money is ours, and the house is ours.” He continued, “We did not steal, loot, or sell out,” describing those making such accusations as mere propaganda tools likely motivated by political agendas.
