Real Madrid’s Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted that his team hasn’t reached its full potential yet, ahead of facing Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
As Madrid prepares for a busy week that includes the highly anticipated “El Clasico” against league leaders Barcelona on Saturday, Ancelotti said on the eve of their match against Dortmund, a repeat of last season’s final which Madrid won 2-0, securing their 15th title: “We haven’t reached 100% yet,” emphasizing the need to “keep working on achieving defensive solidity.”
He added: “We haven’t conceded many goals so far, but our opponents have had chances to score… We struggle more in possession-based games because we have players who know how to exploit space.”
