Sudan Events – Follow-ups
A civil aviation delegation headed by the Director of the Civil Aviation Authority, Hussein Nayel, participated in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) conference on air service negotiations for 2024, held from October 21 to 25, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur and hosted by the Malaysian Ministry of Transport.
Delegations from 84 countries are attending the conference, where the Malaysian Minister of Transport and the ICAO Director delivered the opening session’s speeches.
The conference is considered the most important international event and a global platform for stakeholders in the aviation sector, including policymakers, aircraft operators, and service providers, to conduct bilateral, regional, and multilateral air service negotiations efficiently.
The conference also provides a central meeting for negotiating air service agreements, which is vital for enhancing global air connectivity, expanding markets, and supporting the growth of the aviation industry.
The delegation arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday and was received by Sudan’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Hassan Abdul Salam, and members of the mission.
