Mineral Resources Welcomes the Governor of Kassala

The General Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mohamed Taher Omar, welcomed the Governor of Kassala, retired Major General Al-Sadiq Mohamed Al-Azraq, in his office in Port Sudan. The meeting discussed various issues related to mining activities in the state and ways to increase production and maximize the state’s general revenues during this period.

The General Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company confirmed the provision of all forms of support to the Kassala State government to advance the mining sector. For his part, Governor Kassala, retired Major General Al-Sadiq Mohamed Al-Azraq, stated that the visit comes within the framework of mutual coordination between his government and the Mineral Resources Company to achieve overall objectives to increase general revenues and provide services to citizens. He praised the coordination between the company and the state government and partners in the mining process in Kassala State for stabilizing mining activities, urging workers in the sector to exert more efforts to support the national economy.
