In Shendi, Omar Al-Sir, the deputy commander of the Third Infantry Division, announced that victory over the RSF rebels is near. He stated that the current conflict is not a typical war but a conspiracy to erase Sudanese identity and uproot the Sudanese people. He argued that the conflict targets the citizens themselves to disrupt national security in favor of internal and external conspiracies.
He concluded, “Sudan is envied for its natural and human resources, but we trust in God, no matter how much the world conspires against us.”
