Opening of Petroleum Product Loading and Unloading Procedures Center

Energy and Oil Minister Dr. Mohieddin Naim inaugurated a new center for handling petroleum product loading and unloading at the Sudanese Oil Corporation in Port Sudan. The event was held under the sponsorship and presence of acting Prime Minister Osman Hussein Osman.

Osman emphasized that the center would regulate and streamline the work of tankers, enhancing overall economic performance by improving transparency and resource management from import to equitable distribution. He noted the center’s positive impact on the national currency value and reduction of transport congestion.

Dr. Naim assured the application of strict regulations for petroleum product loading and distribution in collaboration with security and related governmental bodies. He described the center as a model project for organizing tankers and stated that all fees would be processed through a unified window system, adding that the next phase will involve pipeline supply to additional cities.
