Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Al-Jazirah Conference, a civil entity monitoring violations, reported on Saturday that the RSF continues to target civilians in large parts of Al-Jazirah state, killing at least 31 people and kidnapping dozens.
In a statement, the Al-Jazirah Conference said, “A force from the RSF attacked the village of ‘Imarat Al-Banna’ in eastern Madani, which hosts many displaced people from eastern Al-Jazirah villages, resulting in the death of eight displaced individuals and three villagers.”
The statement noted that the force looted citizens’ properties and spread terror among them, causing large-scale displacement from the village. In a second statement, based on eyewitnesses from the village of Wad Al-Sayed in the eastern Al-Jazirah locality, the conference reported that RSF forces killed 19 citizens, including an elderly woman who died while fleeing on foot.
The statement also mentioned that town residents fled toward New Halfa in Kassala state, eastern Sudan, and Shendi in the Nile River state.
