Zakat Chamber Secretary General Launches Food Convoy for War Victims in East Al-Jazira Villages

Ahmed Ibrahim Abdullah, Secretary General of the Zakat Chamber, and Omar Osman Adam, Acting Minister of Social Development and representative of the Governor of Kassala, along with Zakat officials from Kassala and Al-Jazira, inaugurated a support convoy organized by the Zakat Chamber’s general secretariat in cooperation with the Kassala and Al-Jazira branches to aid residents of East Al-Jazira villages who have been displaced due to rebel violence.
The Zakat Chamber Secretary General stated that the organization has consistently provided support in such situations, delivering food and medicine to displaced persons and assisting the armed forces with medical treatment. He emphasized the Zakat Chamber’s commitment to supporting the Sudanese people, military, and local institutions in their struggle against aggression and insurrection.
Hamed Ahmed Hamed, Zakat Secretary for Kassala, and Issam Al-Din Musa, Zakat Secretary for Al-Jazira, reported that the convoy includes food supplies valued at over 100 million pounds and targets 10,000 people affected by recent events in East Al-Jazira.
