Minister of Finance Reaffirms Government’s Commitment to the Success of the Winter Agricultural Season

The Minister of Finance, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the success of the upcoming winter agricultural season by providing all necessary resources and production inputs for cultivating the planned areas, including approximately 815,000 feddans of wheat and 750,000 feddans of other winter crops.
During an extended meeting held on Sunday, attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Abu Bakr Al-Bushra, Dr. Ibrahim reviewed the completed preparations for the season, with a focus on cultivating the targeted areas across several states, especially Al-Jazira, Nile River, Northern State, and irrigated projects. The meeting confirmed the provision of essential inputs for wheat, including DAP and urea fertilizers, and the representative from the Ministry of Irrigation described the preparations for irrigated projects as excellent. The meeting included the Governor of Al-Jazira Project, the Director of the Agricultural Bank, and directors of various irrigated projects.
