The Arab Union of Exporters and Importers has expressed its readiness to rebuild war-damaged areas in Sudan, initiating direct contacts with some Chinese companies to repair and maintain power stations damaged by the conflict. During a press conference in Port Sudan with the Sudanese Employers’ Union, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahim, head of the Arab Union, emphasized their cooperative and respectful relationship, aimed at advancing Sudan’s economy.
Dr. Yasser Al-Jumayabi, acting president of the Sudanese Employers’ Union, reaffirmed the Union’s commitment to revitalize the Sudanese economy within regulatory frameworks, pointing out the formation of a committee to address administrative gaps. Prominent community leader, Nazer Muhammad Al-Amin Turk, pledged to address any challenges facing the Union’s work, and called for direct oversight from the Sovereign Council President.
Dr. Shatha Al-Sharif, Union media officer, mentioned the implementation of various infrastructure projects to support exports in states including Al-Gadarif, Al-Jazirah, and Nile River, and accused unnamed entities of working to undermine Sudan’s economy.
