Inauguration of Humanitarian Aid Convoy for New Arrivals from Al-Jazirah to Shendi

Dr. Muhammad Al-Badawi Abdul Majid, Governor of Nile River State, inaugurated a humanitarian aid convoy for new arrivals from Al-Jazirah, attended by a delegation led by Justice Minister Dr. Muawiyah Othman, the Minister of Transport, the Federal Commissioner of Humanitarian Aid, the Minister of Social Affairs for Nile River State, and other officials. The Governor praised Shendi residents, security forces, and local resistance groups for their support of the arrivals and ordered the opening of all warehouses, hospitals, and health centers to serve the people of Al-Jazirah.
Justice Minister Dr. Muawiyah Othman reaffirmed his Ministry’s commitment to supporting arrivals, pledging ongoing legal action against militia members involved in human rights abuses. Transport Minister Eng. Abu Bakr Abu Al-Qasim pledged further humanitarian assistance and praised Shendi residents’ hospitality. The Federal Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Salwa Adam, emphasized that aid represents central government support, dismissing any attempts to politicize humanitarian efforts.
Commander of the Third Infantry Division, Major General Hamdan Abdul Qadir Dawood, expressed gratitude to all parties involved in welcoming new arrivals, describing Nile River State as a microcosm of Sudan and reaffirming the army’s commitment to defend the nation.
